They Have Her

It’s a nice Tuesday morning with the sun shining and a cool 72 degree temperature when Dad calls for breakfast. As Sister puts out the kibble, and we all dive in, Dad calls for specific cats, “Tiger Tye, Minnie, Misty, breakfast.” Misty and Minnie answer, but no, Tiger Tye. Ten minutes later, he calls again. As he does, he looks down the drive and notices us and our strange behavior as we search way down to the street.

It’s Not Always Black and White

When you think of contrast you think of black and white, big and small, sweet and sour. But do you think of black and ginger? Around the Sanctuary we never say who will click and who won’t. One day, a young lady called Mark and Dorothy. She was referred to the sanctuary. She had to surrender a couple of cats. She had three but only take one with her. All they knew was they would need a large unit to transport one of the cats because he was BIG.

As you know, every cat pride has a king or leader. He is the head of the hierarchy. Everyone else ranks beneath him, except for the Queen of the pride. Normally, the king is the largest and strongest cat in the pride. He is always being challenged by younger males. This, though, is not the case at the Sanctuary. Our pride’s king or leader is one of the smallest cats and for sure the smallest male. Let me introduce you to one black and white Tuxedo cat named Jules Verne.
