It’s a nice Tuesday morning with the sun shining and a cool 72 degree temperature when Dad calls for breakfast. As Sister puts out the kibble, and we all dive in, Dad calls for specific cats, “Tiger Tye, Minnie, Misty, breakfast.” Misty and Minnie answer, but no, Tiger Tye. Ten minutes later, he calls again. As he does, he looks down the drive and notices us and our strange behavior as we search way down to the street.

As you know, every cat pride has a king or leader. He is the head of the hierarchy. Everyone else ranks beneath him, except for the Queen of the pride. Normally, the king is the largest and strongest cat in the pride. He is always being challenged by younger males. This, though, is not the case at the Sanctuary. Our pride’s king or leader is one of the smallest cats and for sure the smallest male. Let me introduce you to one black and white Tuxedo cat named Jules Verne.

Story of the Supreme Commander Tituba’s Story

What is jet black, long, skinny, and has extra sharp needle claws? If you said a cat, you are half right. If you said a little black cat who runs a sanctuary, you win. Her name is Tituba, and as of 2018 is fourteen years old. She is a full blood Black Bombay cat who came to the humans of Crazy Cat Sanctuary even before the thought of a rescue or sanctuary made its presence known. Her daddy was a friend of Mark’s back in San Antonio, TX.
