So what started the desire to take in black cats and kittens? It was one little kitty who goes by […]
This girl’s life at the Sanctuary all started on day two at the rescue the team, Mark and Dorothy, did in Meade County (link to Smokey). They were out on-site when they counted not two, but three cats left to catch. When they left the day before they only had two now they have two plus one BIG CAT. She is almost too big for the biggest rescue trap we had. It’s a good thing she is very friendly and a fresh dump. Smokey who is the leader of the pride at the rescue site takes her in and when Mark and Dorothy show up he is sure to let them know about the new arrival.
And as they say “the rest is history. With that call, Dorothy and Mark are on their way to Meade County to check out the situation where a family just up and moved out. They left more than a dozen cats, like the neighbor who found them thought, trapped inside a double-wide trailer with no food or water. The no food or water was correct so the neighbor who called Monica Webb put that out for cats, but they found a way in and out through the laundry room. Mrs. Webb had contacted one team who was able to catch the friendlier cats who take to human contact, but that left six they were not able to get that’s when the call came into Crazy Cat Sanctuary and Black Cat Rescue.
What’s Big? Huge? Gigantic? And Grey and White? And Purrs? When first seen by a neighbor as it moved through the woods it was seen through a spotting scope. He thought it was a Bob Cat. Then another neighbor saw him on her back porch looking up at her as if asking for food. She thought the same thing. They both asked Mar, JoAnn, and Dorothy if they had seen a Bobcat and told them about their experiences.
It’s not Halloween, Christmas, or Easter so who shows up dressed as if ready to go out as Royalty?
